Who we are

Our website address is: http://www.milliebooks.com (Millie Books)

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

If you want to engage with us directly or download one of our freebies we will collect your name (it can be first name only) and your email address so we know where to send it.

If you subscribe to our newsletter we will collect your name, your email address and your preferred language (choice between English or Spanish) so that we can contact you.

We don’t like spam so I will only contact you when I have something really important to say, like when my next book is coming out, or to wish you well on a holiday, usually Christmas or Easter.  We will only do this when we have the time to draw a cool pic that I can send you.

See below other information that we collect that its not super obvious when your visit our site.

Who we share your data with

Here is a list of third party providers that we use who we share your data with.

  • Mailchimp – They are our email provider, when you subscribe your name and email is stored in their servers.  This helps us email you without having to use our gmail accounts and also helps us send you prettier emails.  Mailchimp can give us statistics of who and how many people opened our emails or who and how many people have clicked on a link (if it was included).

  • Google – we use data to check how we are tracking in Google Analytics.  this lets us know statistics for our site that can help us plan content that is more relevant to you, or advertise to people in similar demographic to you.
  • YouTube – As there are embedded videos in different blog post, these videos have the cookies that YouTube has.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
